*** NOTICE REGARDING COVID-19 ***

The Reserve at Richardson continues to take preventative measures mandated by federal, state, and local health agencies. We can confirm that six residents of our facility have tested positive for COVID-19 despite our precautionary efforts. Those residents all resided in the same hallway on the same floor. For the residents’ care and as a precaution, three residents were discharged to local hospitals.

Through the efforts of our medical director and legal counsel, on April 1 we obtained 47 COVID-19 tests from Dallas County Health and Human Services to test all residents on the same hallway as the original resident who tested positive. We would like to thank our medical director, legal counsel, Methodist Richardson administration and physicians, the City of Richardson, the Richardson Fire Department, and many others for their help in obtaining the additional COVID-19 tests for the remaining residents on the floor. All residents on that hallway were tested. Additionally, all residents on the same floor were tested; those results are still pending.

The health and safety of our residents and employees is of our utmost concern and importance, and we ask for your understanding and support as we experience this unprecedented worldwide pandemic. We hope you appreciate the effort we’re making to be transparent while still respecting the privacy of these individuals.

Our facility is under complete quarantine with only essential medical personnel permitted inside. We continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control, Local Health Department, and Texas Health and Human Services guidance in medically assessing and examining employees at the beginning and end of each shift. We are diligently monitoring and assessing residents and employees, following the disinfecting and housekeeping protocols, adhering to social distancing guidelines, and numerous other preventative measures. Residents have been assigned representatives to aid with communication to family members via Smartphones, tablets, and computers to help minimize feelings of social isolation.
